Dr. Martinelli brings a rare and highly credible perspective to optometric education. After 27 years in private practice and more than a decade as an ocular disease preceptor training countless students, he went on to earn his medical degree - and continues to see patients every day while teaching, writing, and mentoring on the future of medical eye care. As a dual-trained clinician and author, Dr. Martinelli is known for helping optometrists think beyond the default model, strengthen patient management and medical authority, and build more intentional, fulfilling careers. His work is grounded not only in theory, but in decades of real-world clinical experience.
